The 102nd
Infantry Group
A site has been set up at yahoo
for the group to send messages, share photos, etc. It is for members of the 102nd and/or
their familys only. If you or someone in your family was part of the 102nd Infantry,
please visit this page and request to become a member of the group. As a member, when you
send a message to the group, it automatically goes to all group members email plus into an
archive. Messages can only be sent by member but anyone on the internet can read the
archive where all messages will be stored. There are also photo galleries that you as a
member can set up and upload your photos to share with all in the group. Please visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ozarks102id/
and check it out (don't forget to bookmark). The more that join the group, the
more fun you will have
sharing stories and photos. You will have to be a member of Yahoo to take advantage of
these features. It is free and easy to join.
Just read and follow the easy instruction at the above link and join with all your old
friends. If you have trouble joining Yahoo,
just email me at landegraphics@yahoo.com and
I will give you what help I can.
There has been some concern expressed about signing up to be a member of Yahoo. It is
thought be some that Yahoo uses personal information gathered to sell to spammers etc. I
have about 4 or 5 accounts at Yahoo and have never had a problem. I have not been ask for
any personal information by them when I signed up. I also know of other groups who have
been on Yahoo for years and never had a problem or complaint. It is my personal opinion
that Yahoo could not have become one of the largest internet companies by practicing this
type of operation. You will notice that on your free email page and the group pages, there
are ads. The more members that Yahoo can get signed up, the more they can charge for these
ads. This is where they make their money.
Thank You
Leon Skeen (assistant webmaster)
Note: I have set up the messaging so
no attachment can be sent.
This is to keep anyone from accidently sending a computer
virus that could infect everyone in the group.
